Memorial Day Weekend 2012

We had a great long weekend! A big "thank you" to those who have served (past, present, and future) for the freedom we possess! We headed to the beach Friday and came back on Monday. We have a busy but relaxing weekend!

Anna Kate enjoying some ice cream in downtown Beaufort on Friday night

AK made a friend at The General Store

Meeting baby Tucker for the first time with Mr. Sam
She woke up Saturday morning and had to feed all of the doggies from a cup! Her favorite thing to do at Mimi's house
We woke up Saturday morning and headed over to the Aquarium to meet up with AK's buddy Mason. They both had a ball at the aquarium. Anna Kate did not want to get too close to anything that was moving but by the end, she was a little more comfortable.

Getting ready to go!

leaving the aquarium and heading to the beach!!
We headed over to the beach after the aquarium. The beach was a disaster because the wind was blowing so hard! We made it on the actual beach for about 10 minutes and then headed in to the pool AK had a great time at the pool and did really well in the water. She would jump off the side and go completely under the water!

playing in the sand
heading to the water with daddy
I love that sandy bottom!!!

she absolutely loves the ocean
sweet girl :)
this is the reason we couldn't stay on the beach! The sand blowing was awful!!
so glad we had to pool to go play in!!
AK took a 3 hour nap when we got home! That is a record for sure!!
We headed back to Mimi and Papa's house after swimming. The rest of the weekend was so fun. We cooked out with family and visited with lots of friends! As soon as we got back. Bryant headed off with the boys to a Braves game in ATL. I think they had a really good time although it was a short trip.....

Daddy is a Life Saver

A few months ago Bryant helped save a very special man's life. Bryant has known Mr. Lynn for a very long time and when the call went out for cardiac arrest Bryant and Rex were the 1st on scene. If they hadn't been there to provide CPR, Mr. Lynn would not be alive today! There were several others involved in getting him to the hospital and they were all honored last Saturday.

I'm still getting used to the new blogger and can't seem to get my pictures in the right order! Here is the ceremony a little mixed up!

All of those involved in saving Mr. Lynn (he is in the middle in the gray t-shirt)

Bryant getting his certificate and pin

In honor of being at the fire station, we had to wear our dalmations!!

We are very proud of daddy!!

Mimi helped Anna Kate surprise me with this finger painting! I also got a beautiful bracelet and a very special book

After church we had our families over for lunch. We had a great time and a lot of good food. I definitely had to get back on track today with the healthy eating!!

Visiting Granny

We went to visit with Granny and the Aunties this weekend while Bryant was working at the Air Show. We went to dinner at Nicky's and it was great! Anna Kate really loved going out on the dock and looking at the water.
