Great Wolf Lodge

Last weekend we traveled to Williamsburg to Great Wolf Lodge. I was a little nervous about traveling 3.5 hours with two little ones but they both did great! We took my parents car so I sat in the back in between the two car seats to keep everyone entertained. AK had the iPad, books, and movies and she also napped while we rode. Corban napped a lot and was also able to watch his "baby Einstein" movies because Stacey let us borrow her portable DVD player :)

This is about 1/4 of what is offered at Great Wolf Lodge. We were at the top of another slide taking this picture. AK did both the green and orange on her own (she was so brave!) There were also 4 we could do as a family. The park also had a wave pool, lazy river, outdoor pool, big wave that you could surf on and a whole area just for small children. We really had a good time!

This is a really big deal! AK is usually very afraid of live "characters" but this night the lodge had a story time and then meet and greet with the characters. She wanted to go up and have her picture made but would only touch Violet!

We Love Chick-fil-a!!

Chick-fil-a had their "cow appreciation" day last Friday. We were at my parent's house and Papa just so happened to be working as a farmer that day :)

She got a free kid's meal for dressing like a cow!!

Corban 3 months

Oh what a blessing you are sweet Corban! You are so much fun and really beginning to show us your precious personality!

At 3 months you can:

• smile and recognize our faces
• turn your head both ways when you hear someone
• roll from tummy to back
• lay on your back and kick your feet
• you love to read books
• bath time always soothes you if you are upset
• love watching your sister
• beginning to pull your feet up (I think you will find them soon!)
• we just can't get enough of your sweetness!!

You are so laid back! (this is nice because sister is DRAMA! haha!) we are on the go a lot and you adjust easily to your surroundings

Sleeping is getting better! You have slept up to 10 hours (1 night ha!) but usually go 5-7 hours before waking up to eat. Usually 4 naps a day

You have recently found your thumb. It is so sweet! We are still using the paci with you too!

We love you so!

Playdate and Hematology

I know that title is so random but that is what we have done this week! We had a play date with Leighton and Lainey on Wednesday and had so much fun!!

Anna Kate had a follow up with Hematology yesterday and while we are still waiting on test results, most of her counts looked good. I was a little disappointed that they had not gone up any but were stable.

She is such a trooper but has realized what happens when we have to go to the doctor so much! On they way she asked me.....do they have snappers? She calls the finger prick a snapper b/c it makes a snapping sound when it pokes her. They did the blood draw out of her arm this time so she didn't have to see the snapper but as soon as she saw the tubes she knew what was going to happen :( she made a quick recovery though!!

This specialist was the most kid-friendly one we have been to! They had a TV with movies in her room and all kinds of toys and games!

Sibling Love

Anna Kate has done so well with the transition of adding Corban to our family. She loves him so much and has been so gentle with him. He loves to watch her and always smiles when he sees her. I am excited for the days when they can play together but certainly don't want to rush time!!

Corban's First Beach Trip.....

We didn't pick the best day to take Corban to the beach for the first time. The wind was blowing really hard so we only stayed on the beach for a few minutes and then went to the pool. He seemed to really enjoy the pool :)

We have been having a wonderful summer and I am so thankful to have this time at home with my sweet babies!!

Father's Day

We had a fun Father's Day this year. We went to church that morning and then my family came and joined us for lunch! What a wonderful daddy these 2 have.......

We went to the Accidental Artist and AK painted daddy a cup for his pens for his office. She would have stayed in there all day if we had let her. She is a crafty little thing!
