More Summer Fun!!

We have been busy, busy, busy enjoying every minute of the summer and the time I have home with the littles!!

A few weeks ago we met up with Abby and Jackson at River Park North for a fun morning!

This is Corban's absolute favorite ride and it usually has no wait! He rides it over and over again....

Anna Kate (the social butterfly) has been to several bday parties. This was Charlotte's 5th birthday tea party :)

We have had lots of time at home playing and also some pool time!!

Fourth of July week

We had a great 4th of July week. We were able to head to the beach for some of the week and visit with friends from Ohio that we haven't seen in a while. We also had some pool time at aunt Lizzie's and enjoyed the fireworks!!

AK and Julie really bonded!

Corban got a great nap on the beach!!

AK with the Myers' girls (Julie, Emily, Jenny)

brother wanted to join in too!

fun at Aunt Lizzie's pool (AK can now swim like a little fish all over the pool!)

sweet Claire!

fun watching fireworks!!

My devotion that I read each morning was really on point for the holiday. I read Our Daily Bread each morning. This is a quote from 7-4-15 - "In a world that seems out of control, we can rest assured that God can move the hearts of leaders." Romans 13:1 says that "there is no authority except from God." The Lord, who is able to change our own hearts as well as the hearts of our leaders, can be trusted for He is in control. Let's ask Him to work (odb.org).

Our family is so thankful for those who serve to protect our freedom past, present and future!!

Corban was playing on his tractor and said "I need my hat!" Bryant always wears a straw hat or his Tilley hat when mowing the grass....wants to be just like daddy!

Anna Kate and Leighton - First Sleepover

Our sweet friends, the Robersons, moved to Apex a couple of months ago. Leighton is AK's best buddy! She has been wanting to see her for so long and we were finally able to arrange a sleepover! Both girls were so excited!!

After playing for a little bit at our house we headed out to our favorite Mexican restaurant. Corban had a birthday party to go to that evening to Bryant took him. We were able to have lots of "girly time" as Anna Kate said!

After dinner we headed to the creamery for a treat....

Then it was time to come home and get ready for bed. It took a very long time for the girlies to go to sleep. I think it was 11:00 before they were actually sleeping!

Needless to say, we all took a long nap the next day after a yummy breakfast at Yoder's! We looked forward to many sleepovers in the future!!

Gone Fishin'

We have some sweet friends that invited us to a pond nearby their house a few weeks ago. It's a family friend's pond that has a lot of fish in it! AK has been asking a lot lately for us to take her fishing. Not sure where the idea came from but she loved it! They have 2 of the sweetest german shepherd dogs and 2 ducks (Elsa and Anna). The kids had a ball catching fish and I enjoyed relaxing in the swing just watching!!
