Baking at Mimi's!
Another fun thing we have done since COVID began was a bake sale. Anna Kate has asked several times about how our family could help others during this time. We decided on a bake sale and all proceeds would be given to our local homeless shelter. She really invested herself in this project and we are so proud of her.
She made her list of ingredients and went online and made a grocery order.....
She spent most of the day baking....
All of her tummy treats....she had a gooey butter cake, red velvet cake balls with white chocolate, homemade sugar cookie sandwiches with homemade icing, and our family favorite crunch!
All wrapped up and ready to go!
Set-up for the sale!
Sweet friends, family, teachers, and neighbors showed up and were so generous!!
She raised $650!!

Watching a blue marlin being weighed in during the Big Rock!
We are so excited about this boat behind the kids!! We have looked and looked for a boat and just couldn't find the right one for our family (and budget!). We happened to get in touch with a marina in Morehead who had just put in an order for the perfect boat for our family. It's being built in Beaufort at the Parker plant so we have been able to stop by a few times to check the progress. It has been a really neat experience!
