New York, New York!

I was able to go on a short New York trip over Memorial Day weekend with some friends from school (and my sweet friend Caroline). We went with the 8th grade AIG kids but did not have to chaperone. Even though it was a short trip we had a lot of fun! We also did A LOT of walking!!

AK and Corby having fun playing while mommy was trying to pack!!

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza which is right off of Times Square.

First stop was the Today Show!

It was fleet week in NYC so there were several men and women from our armed forces visiting! They were getting ready to do a tug-of-war

We tried to at least see all of the sights New York has to offer! Of course I needed to find something to take home to Anna Kate and Corban.

Corban was easy :)

This was the biggest Toys R Us I have ever seen. It had a ferris wheel inside! I went in to look for shopkins (AK's newest favorite thing). They were completely sold out! NYC was sold out of shopkins!

A Belle barbie from the Disney store had to do ;)

Walking the Brooklyn Bridge

Caught a little street show!

We had lunch the first day at an awesome little pizza place. We looked out the window during lunch and there was a man walking around with a cat sitting on top of his head!!

We hit up the half-price ticket booth for Broadway shows and decided to see "It Shoulda Been You." It was a really good show that was sitcom style.

When we got back to our hotel that night I checked my fitbit. I don't think I have ever walked that far in one day!!

We got a good night's rest and then headed out the next morning. Our mission was to get to the 9/11 memorial.

Someone told us this was the first responding station. It was very close to where the towers were

There were several names that had flowers stuck in them.

We also wanted to see Central Park and find some real authentic NY cheesecake!!

It was a very quick trip but I would definitely do it again!

Anna Kate's Pre-K Graduation

Anna Kate graduated from Pre-K at the end of May. She has done so well this year and we are so proud of her! She had phenomenal teachers who she loves dearly!! The kids each came in and got their diploma and then they sang several songs and had cake and lemonade. Everything was so nice. She had a lot of people there who love her very much!!

Ak and her buddy Bristol

Her teachers, Mrs. Ange and Mrs. Amy

READY TO GO TO KINDERGARTEN!!!!

May Catch Up

We had a very busy May that deserves it's own individual posts but I do have a few pics I wanted to share with some things we have been up to!

At the end of April we showed support for Dani and walked in the MS Greenville walk.

We celebrated Mother's Day with both of our families and I got to go to Anna Kate's school for Muffins with Mom.

I got to go to AK's preschool for Muffins for Mom.....we had a yummy breakfast and then they sang to us :)

Anna Kate had a field trip to the strawberry patch with her class. Bryant was able to go with her!

Uncle B graduated from Law School!!

And AK got to go to a birthday party with Elsa!!

We went to Abby's dance recital and had another fun day of pedicures with our buddy Allie!

Corban has taken some interest in riding a bike since sissy can now ride with no training wheels! We have introduced him to the balance bike.....

We have had such warm weather we decided to go on and break out the pool!!

"Beau"fort Beddard

We decided to add 4 more paws to our family a couple of weeks ago. I know we are crazy to add more to the circus that already exists on a daily basis at our house! Bryant has been wanting a dog for over a year now and we found a liter due close to the end of school so we got on the waiting list.

A little family selfie before Beau joined the fam!

Beau is a goldendoodle. We got him just before his 2 month birthday. The first few nights were rough. He cried off and on all night! He is doing a lot better now and even slept through the night last night (I feel like I am talking about one of my babies!!). He is the sweetest thing! He is very much a puppy wanting to jump and chew on everything but he has done really well with crate training and we try to keep chew toys all around! He plays hard but when he is tired he just flops over and sleeps wherever he lands. The kids love him but he is getting tall enough now that the takes them down sometimes when he jumps!

Sophie is not his biggest fan! We know she will eventually come around but she doesn't really care to be near him. She has been the only pup for 9 years now and is having some trouble sharing! She does love to bark at him and chase him around the house!!

*notice she would rather lay on the table than on the couch!
