More Summer Fun!!

The weekend after we came home from Ocracoke AK wanted to do a lemonade stand. She has begged to do this all summer but there was always some reason why we couldn't. Finally, she was able to do it and it was a huge success!

Trent, Miller and Maddux stopped by :)

Anna Kate got to go to her first slumber party and had a ball!

AK did a week long drama camp. Each day was a different theme. This day was Safari!

Corban and I got to spend some one on one time together while she was at camp so we went to a movie after tennis one morning. Peppa Pig was there and C was thrilled!!

We also were able to go to story time at the library one morning....

On the last day of the drama camp the kids performed "the big show" which was something similar to Where the Wild Things Are. AK had a small speaking part and did lots of singing and dancing! I really didn't get many good shots of her:(

We have done gymnastics all summer but most recently AK was asked to join pre-team. We talked with her a long time about this and the commitment and she decided to do it! She now spends 4 hours a week in the gym and most days really enjoys it!

More summer sillies.....

Ocracoke 2016

We did a family Ocracoke trip this year. The kids had never been and every summer when we leave we always say how much fun we think they would have. They loved it! My parents, Aunt Carol and Uncle Bennie also joined us :) Beau go to go too but he stayed at the Sandy Paws.

All loaded up and ready to go!

Passing time on the ferry...

Waiting to check-in to Edwards

Excited!

We went out onto the beach the first night we were there. The moon was beautiful! The kids ended up getting soaked but had a ball!

This picture makes me laugh! It's so hard to get a family photo!

Beau really enjoyed the beach. He was recovering from a really bad ear infection so he couldn't get into the ocean.....

AK and Papa hanging out

Heading out for a bike ride

Aunt Carol and Uncle Bennie took us to a neat nature trail that lead us to Springer's Point

Lots of hermit crabs at Springer's Point!

This is where Beau spent a lot of his time. It was an awesome place for him to stay! We had 24 hour access to him and could get him whenever we wanted to. He was also walked 4 times a day in addition to the time we had him out.

 Fun on the beach....

On one of our bike rides we stopped at the Ocracoke lighthouse

 Ice cream :))

Bryant and I would go get Beau each night and ride him around the island on the golf cart!

Yummy breakfast at Gaffer's before we headed back home. The sweet owner gave us hats and koozies!

Lots of friendly geese and ducks hanging out at the ferry landing!

Sweet Visits

We have had such a fun summer! I hate to see it coming quickly to an end. We had the opportunity to visit with sweet friends that we do not get to see often. We got to see the Myers family (from Ohio) at EI and Georganne, Amelia and her sweet friend Katilyn came up from Florida to visit.

AK and Jenny

Emily, Danny, Julie (mom, Mrs. Debbie and Jake in the back)

AK teaching Mrs. Debbie all about Shopkins!

While we were at the beach we went to Chick-fil-a to visit Papa for Cow Appreciation Day!

Moooooooo!

Georganne, Amelia and Kaitlin drove up from Florida to take Burke to a camp at UNC. We were able to have them come spend a night with us. We packed in a full night of fun! We hit the creamery with Taylor and Elizabeth and then went on to Air U!

Anna Kate ADORED the big girls! She was laying outside of their room the next morning just waiting for them to wake up so she could play with them....

Everybody getting in on the pringles challenge!

AK and I met up with Charlotte and her sweet mama for dinner and ice cream one night!

While we were at dinner the boys made a visit to Mills' farm and rode on the tractors!
