2 Months

Anna Kate is 2 months old! She has definitely grown since her one month picture with Sophie. She has much better head control and can lift her head up high when playing on her tummy. She can roll from her tummy to her back and almost from her back to her tummy. She has begun to like to sleep on her side, which makes me a little nervous! She is wearing size 1 diapers and newborn clothes no longer fit! She is such a happy baby! She loves to "talk" and smile. She has become very interactive. We read everyday! She still loves bath time. She was sleeping up to 7 hours a night but recently has hit a growth spurt and hasn't slept so long :( We are so excited for what is to come in the life or our little girl! We love you AK!

First Cold

Why is this baby so sad??She has her very first cold. We went to the doctor Monday b/c AK was coughing and very stuffy. We just wanted to be sure that there wasn't more to it b/c she had a little rattling in her chest along with the other things.

They pricked her finger to be sure her white blood cell count wasn't raised. Her count was fine so we know she does not have an infection.

They gave her a breathing treatment to help with the congestion in her chest and sent us home with an inhaler to use as needed.

She is feeling much better today!!! Now we are just being lazy on this rainy day!

Church

This past Sunday was our first time taking AK to church. I was SO nervous that she might be fussy but she did great! She slept the whole time. Here are a few pictures of us before church.Sweet AKB and mommy!

Abby is Here!!!

Abigail Elizabeth Piner was born Monday September 6, 2010. She weighed 6 lbs 1 oz and is 17 inches long. Melisa did great!! Here are a few pictures of Abby and AK!! I can't wait to watch Anna Kate grow up with her cousins.AK looks so big to me now compared to Abby!


3 Cousins :)

1 month old!

Anna Kate you are 1 month old! This month has been a whirlwind! We have learned so much and still have so much to learn! I wanted something consistent to compare her size to each month, so I decided to use Sophie. AK looks so tiny in the chair but has really grown a lot. She loves bath time, riding in the car (only when the car is moving!), reading books, playing on the activity mat, and being talked too! She is sleeping in her crib now as of Thursday night and has done really well with it. Here is a picture of AKB at 1 month with Sophie and then one of her sleeping in her crib.

Rolling Over?!?!

I know I have gotten a little video camera happy these last few days. I got a Flip as my "push present" and I love that thing! Anyway, AK and I were playing on her activity mat this afternoon. She is not a big fan of tummy time but I know she needs to be on her tummy to strengthen her neck and shoulders. She was on her tummy today and decided she didn't want to be anymore so she just rolled right over! It may be a one time thing, but I was very impressed. She did it at least 2 times before I grabbed the camera and then she did it 2 more times while I was videoing. Excuse her at the end of this video, she is OVER showing off for the camera!!
