I won (most) of the battle! & 18 mon stats

We had a battle at our house this morning before church! It really wasn't that bad....more funny than anything! AK has become quite opinionated and has decided she wants to dress herself! Daddy lets that happen.......mommy does NOT!!

I was getting her ready this morning for church and I put her in this sweet little giraffe print onsie with a pink cardigan and ruffle bottom denim pants. I picked out sweet polka dot socks and a pink/green bow to match with some new navy blue mary janes. Well, AK was not having it!!! She went to her dirty clothes basket and was saying "tights...tights!" So to avoid the battle I took off her socks, pants, and unsnapped her onsie so she could wear tights. As I got all of her clothes BACK on her I proceeded to put on her navy blue shoes and she said NO and ran to her closet and got out her pink furry crocs.......now these are cute but NO!! So I just took the blue shoes downstairs with me....however, before I went downstairs I pulled down a pink bow and tried to put it in her hair......she said NO and went to her bow holder....so, I pulled down a green one to let her choose (pink or green). She points up at all of her bows and says "BLACK!!" Well, black did not match her outfit! She began to throw a little tantrum so I just stepped over her and took all of the things she was GOING to wear downstairs with me! I got downstairs and told Bryant all about the battle and his response was "Go hug that baby and tell her she can wear what she wants too.....that's what I let her do!" No help from him!!! I went back up and got her and finally got her dressed!

On another note....Anna Kate had her 18month check-up on Monday. She was 22lbs 1oz (16%) and 33 in long (82%). She is a precious, sweet, healthy baby girl that we thank God everyday for!!

We LOVE Kindermusik

Anna Kate started Kindermusik a couple of weeks ago. I am so glad I put her in it because she absolutely loves it! Her teacher is wonderful!! Here are a couple of pictures from last night's class. They are not great quality because I had to use my phone..........

It is such a good experience for her. She loves music and dancing! They also are learning to follow directions and take turns. She is doing so well with everything. I am so proud of her!!

18 months old

Our sweet girl turned 18 months old yesterday! What a joy she is! Everyday is a new adventure. Her vocabulary seems to be expanding by the day!

• She weighs around 23 lbs
• Size 18-24 month clothes
• Size 5 shoes and size 4 diapers
• Still loves to read and has really pinned some favorite books that she can read with me!
• Knows blue, green, and red and can almost count to 10 without skipping numbers :)
• Loves play-doh
• Loves all sweets (just like her mama!)
• Bath time is still one of her favorite times of the day
• Still sleeping pretty well most nights but not a great napper
• We love her to pieces!!!

We have just started Kindermusik and she absolutely LOVES it! I'm so proud of her! She is doing really well following directions and being independent and absolutely loves her teacher!

Saturday night we went to dinner with some friends. They have a sweet little 1 year old boy named Mason who is one of AK's new favorites. They really play well together!

Beautiful Thursday

Last Thursday was so beautiful out when I got home from work. Bryant had gotten off early and went ahead and picked up Anna Kate. When I got home they were already playing outside. We decided to load up in the wagon and walk up to our new buddies house!

We had a pretty low key weekend which was nice. We went to Olive Garden Friday night with Bryan, Stacey, and Connor......the food was very good

Bryant had to work on Saturday so after Anna Kate got up form her nap we headed to the park to burn off some energy! She loves the park and would stay there all day if I would let her!

Playgroup

We had playgroup at our house today and we had so much fun!! All of the babies are getting so big. It was so good to see all of the mommies too! I had a couple of new ideas from pinterest that I wanted to try......so, since Tay and Brad came for dinner last night, I put her to work! We made these precious butterfly valentine crafts today. We had to get everything ready last night so the craft would be as easy as possible today.

Taylor's 30th and makeup!

Our dear friend Taylor turned 30 on the 5th of this month and we celebrated her this weekend! As I was getting ready for the party I had a very busy 17 month old on my hands! I let her sit on the counter with me while I get ready. This night I was trying to fix something for the party, fold laundry, and get myself ready while Bryant was at work. I needed something to distract her so I could do all of these things. I put my make-up bag down on the floor because she loves to take things out of a bag and then put them back in. Little did I know what my sweet girl would do....

I tried my best to clean her up so we could head over to the party. My parents walked in right in the middle of her make-up application and all we could do was laugh at her! She is so funny! We headed up the street to the cook-out for Taylor.

17 months and other stuff

Our Anna Kate is 17 months old today! She is such a joy and hilarious!! She is into everything!


What is AK up to these days?

• Weighs 22.2 lbs
• size 18 month clothes, sz 4 shoes
• runs just about everywhere she goes
• LOVES Barney! (This has become her recent obsession)
• Talks non-stop and know several words; can repeat many words too!
• still loves books and bath time
• Sophie is finally starting to warm up to her, but still doesn't let her get too close!!

Just after Christmas we had an oyster roast at our house and exchanged gifts with our friends. We had a great time and the food was delicious!
