Valentine's Day and Snow!

My days are running together at this point! I can't remember if it snowed before or after Valentine's day so I am just going to post pictures from both.

AK had a party at school and got all kinds of V-Day goodies!

Anna Kate also got to experience her first real snow recently. We have had some snow before but this was the first time for her to actually be able to get out and play in it. It all started on a Saturday afternoon (I think!) and was melted by Sunday afternoon! We did get enough to play in, I think she had a good time!

Mimi is a Trooper!

Mimi had knee replacement surgery a few weeks ago and has done so well! We are so proud of her! Anna Kate wanted to get in on some of the action and help Mimi with her physical therapy so she adds a little weight to her walker and helps her count while doing stretches!

Anna Kate turned 2 1/2 on February 5th. This post is going to have A LOT of pictures of our sweet girl and what she is up to these days. We love every minute with her and each day is definitely a new adventure!

reading is probably your favorite thing to do and you have several of your books memorized and like to "read" to me

eating is always a challenge......some days you eat everything in sight and others NOTHING!!

you are very interested in everything around you and just recently has taken interest in everybody's name. You asks me all the time about random people we pass "What's his name??"

we kept your tree up a little longer than the other decorations

Rucker John's is your most favorite restaurant....everybody there knows you and the manager always makes you fried pickles!!

You go to preschool 2 days a week and absolutely love it! Mrs. Z told me this is one of your favorite activities.....the sticky wall

dum dums are your favorite treat and you are now tall enough to reach that shelf in the pantry

your new favorite thing is to do something silly and then say"Can you take my picture??"

you are very independent always saying "Let me do it!"

you love sweets like mommy and daddy and like to help cook and wash dishes

you can work an ipad better than most adults....on this particular day you told me you were "checking your email" :)

Anna Kate's 1st Haircut

Yes, we were able to wait almost 2 1/2 years before we had to cut those sweet curls. We did lose a few (I have them saved!!) but it was time for a much needed haircut!!

Comparison

I have not been good about keeping up with belly pictures for baby brother or much less posting about him. We had a check up last week and everything is looking great.....heart rate was in the 150's. I had the glucose test that day also and I failed!! I went today and had the 3 hour screening done and passed thank goodness! That was a miserable test! So here is baby brother at 27.5 weeks and just to compare I put a pic of AK at 28 weeks.......

It looks (and feels) like I am carrying him a lot lower than I did with her. Needless to say, I'm growing and so is he!!

Christmas 2012

We had a fabulous Chrismas this year! We did the Christmas Eve service at our church with Mimi, Papa, and Uncle Jay. We grabbed a quick dinner afterwards so we could head home and make cookies for Santa.....

I have to admit that I had not wrapped one present before we got home from church on Christmas Eve. So while Anna Kate was baking, I was busy wrapping. I brought all of the gifts downstairs and she was ready to open! She kept sneaking over under the tree to try to rip the paper but we were able to hold her off until Christmas morning!

After we finished opening presents we cooked breakfast and Bryant's family came over to join us and see all that Anna Kate had gotten. Then we napped and headed over to Nanny's for lunch and more present opening....

After we left grandma's we headed back to the beach to Mimi and Papa's house for the night. By the time we got their we were exhausted! My feet swelled for the first time that night!! We did our best to help Anna Kate understand that Christmas is not about getting presents but about Jesus and I think she is beginning to get it! Happy Birthday Jesus!!
