11 months and a Snowman (girl)
Corban turned 11 months old on the 10th. I am a tad behind again with his "monthly" posts! Having his chair picture made was not on his agenda for the night. He would not put the books down!!
At 11 months:
- such a happy boy
- great eater.....still will try most things
- crawling, pulling up and cruising
- loves to be read to
- bath time is his favorite! He squeals when we are headed up the stairs at night!
- adores Anna Kate
- claps, plays peekaboo
- enjoys Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but really isn't into TV (unlike sister!)
- Such a blessing!!
I did a little front porch photo shoot to try to get a good picture for his birthday invite. I can't believe he will be 1 in less than a month :(
This was his first time wearing shoes! So handsome at church!
Mommy loves matching outfits!!
I use a couple of different cameras. As I was going through our big camera I saw something that I forgot to post with all of our snow days. Brad and Taylor came to play and helped AK build her first snowman. She was so excited!! Her name is "Frosta" and AK even made her a bow!

Snow Fun!!
We had a big ice/snow storm Tuesday night. We have now missed several days of school (which we will have to make up :( ). We woke up Wednesday morning to a blanket of snow covering everything! We headed out as soon as Corban went down for a nap. He enjoyed the snow last week. This week was too cold!!
After brother woke up we dropped him off at Grandma's and headed to see Jackson and Abby and play. Uncle Rex had taken the hood off of an old car and tied it to the back of the 4-wheeler. Anna Kate had a ball!!

We have really enjoyed the snow! However, we are officially ready for spring!!

Corban's MRI
What a long day it was last Thursday! Our poor little guy was put through the ringer being pricked and poked! Things ended up working out for the better because we didn't have to use sedation and Corban was a champ through it all!
Here's a little recap of our day:
Let me tell you about the amazing God we serve! The unofficial report for Corban looks good! Our dr called about 2:30 and told us not to come in. She said things looked exactly like she thought. Benign External Hydrocephalus-meaning there is a small amount of extra fluid between his skull and brain. This should correct itself and is what they typically find in babies with big heads :) she has to meet with the neurologist to get his "off the record" report because they say the test is not legit since he woke up and moved but she said they can see enough to know there are no tumors or asymmetrical growth. There is not enough fluid to need a shunt -praise!
The testimony in all of this and what I am most amazed and thankful for is this:
God has known from The beginning of this journey the battle and fear I have faced with sedating Corban. I have never had peace about it but put Corban in His hands today after many weeks of prayer and a complete understanding that I am not in control. He proved himself ever faithful. The nurses were unable to find a vein to be able to put the sedation medicine in. We tried both hands and feet blowing at least 3 veins. Corban was in a lot of pain because they could not use the numbing medicine they typically use since it makes veins disappear. He was very distressed for at least an hour and a half and was hungry as he had not eaten since 1:30 am and had been awake since 4 am. In the midst of Corban screaming uncontrollably, me crying trying to hold him down, a nurse crying trying to get the needle in and several others trying to help, I have to say I let my mind wander to"where are you God. We need you now!" Reflecting now, He was there saying, "I got this!" He knew Corban didn't need sedation so even when the nurse found a vein, it blew! God used this rough situation as a way to make Corban very sleepy and without sedation we were able to get him asleep with no meds and get at least one good scan in the MRI machine. I prayed over that sweet boy so hard for him to stay asleep long enough to get some pictures. Another answered prayer! He woke up about 5 min into the scan and they had to stop. We have been praying ever since that they got a good look at everything even though the test was not properly done. Another answered prayer!
We have not gotten. The 100% all clear as our dr still has to speak with the neurologist but she was very confident that things are going to be fine. There is a slim chance we will have to do this again with anesthesia but we are praying that we won't have to do this!
Another update: Our dr met with the other dr who read the MRI and he had the same opinion as she did. We are going today for a CT scan just to confirm everything but his small issue should correct itself by the age of 2 - praise!
