What a wonderful Christmas we had this year. Each year seems to get better and better with the kids. It's so much fun! We started Christmas Eve with lunch and presents at grandma's house. Nanny fell that morning but thankfully did not have to go to the hospital. We are thankful for another holiday season with her and Pa.......
After lunch we headed to church for our Christmas Eve service. After the service they had a hot cocoa bar and some photo opts set up :)
The kids could hardly wait to get home because they knew Kit-Kat would be leaving her goodbye letter. For just a minute they get to pick her up and hug her goodbye. They leave her their glow sticks from church to light her way back to the North Pole and she leaves them a Kit-Kat.......
We made homemade cookies this year for Santa and AK insisted we leave gingersnaps for the elves....
We all snuggled up on the couch to watch Elf! This was the easiest way to get the kids to go to sleep on their own!
And while we were sleeping......Santa came!! Corban asked for a lot of sports stuff and AK wanted art supplies and games...
Waiting to come downstairs!!
AK really wanted a springboard but Santa left her a note that it wouldn't fit in the sleigh. This mini-tramp would serve the same purpose....
Sweet Mrs. Susan painted this board and then Bryant added hooks for AK to hang her gymnastics medals on....
It was a lot of fun decorating for Christmas in our new house. I wanted to take pictures so I will remember next year where we put everything!
This was my most favorite decoration of all! Since we got a real tree this year we didn't have anything to do with this artificial one. I was able to hang all of the Christmas cards we received on it!
It is definitely hard to find the balance between getting excited about Jesus and presents at Christmas. We really try and stress to our children that Jesus our Savior is the true reason we celebrate! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!!
