We have had one wild, crazy, busy, fun, and awesome summer! I began the summer teaching the first session of summer school while the kids played with friends, went to VBS, camp, and time with grandparents. AK attended 3 back to back week long overnight camps. She was super tired by the end so we won't do back to back camps like that next year but she really enjoyed them. Corban has enjoyed several sports camps but he did not love being away for overnight camp. He got lucky and got to leave camp 3 days early for a COVID shut down. We went on two awesome vacations (Ocracoke and Flat Rock) and got in some sweet visits with friends. It's been a great summer!
First up was our Ocracoke vacation with the Roberson family....
Snacks and games on the ferry ride :)
The sunsets were beautiful!
We got lots of pool time....
AK enjoyed some crab legs!
We made it to Springer's Point to hunt for hermit crabs.....
Found one!
We loved riding our bikes everywhere this year....we've done a golf-cart in the past but I think we like having our bikes there better.....
I love the laid back feeling of Ocracoke!

Beau got to stay with Mimi and Papa but I guess they wore him out.....haha!
Next up......overnight camps! This was Corban's first visit at Roanoke and he was so pumped to go. He did fine the first night but was ready to come home after the 2nd day. We told him he needed to stay but he got lucky and the camp got shut down that day because some of the previous campers had tested positive for COVID....
This was week 2 for AK.....Centri-Kids camp at Barton college in Wilson. I think this was her favorite camp of the summer! She went with a small group from our church and a larger group from another local church....I got updates each morning and she had a ball!
We celebrated Nanny's birthday (AK and Jackson were both away at camp)....
Corban living his best life! Ha!
