Easter Weekend 2015

Anna Kate had her school egg hunt. Bryant was able to be there to watch!!

We headed to the beach for Easter this year. We were there for the whole weekend and it was so nice! We went to the aquarium on Saturday and met Leslie and little Ben there :)

Easter Sunday came and the AK was so excited to see what the Easter bunny brought. She left a note for the Easter bunny because we were not at our house. She wanted to be sure the bunny knew exactly what she wanted!!

She had to wait a little bit for Corban to wake up. When he finally did she ran into the room and said "Are you ready to see what the Easter bunny brought?!?!?!" His response "Ummmmm NO!!" hahaha

The Easter bunny left of trail of eggs for them to follow to their baskets...

Sophie had a good time kicking the eggs and chasing them around (that's why the pic is blurry)

 The bunny also left breakfast!!

Corban loves sissy's chapstick so the bunny brought him some blue :)

Loving his peep doughnut!!

a new puzzle!!

Anna Kate loves the idea of the Easter bunny but if you ask her what Easter is really about she will tell you "Jesus died for you and me!" He is risen indeed!!

Little Updates....

Anna Kate and Corban are growing so quickly and learning so much! I want to update on some of the things they are up to these days......

Anna Kate is a few months away from finishing pre-k and is registered for Kindergarten!! She is beginning to read and seems very interested in it! She does not love to write because it has been a struggle for her. She has a bit of an issue with strength in her little hands and because of that her writing has been a tad delayed. She is a trooper and is working really hard everyday and has made so much progress!! We are so proud of her.

Anna Kate's Favorite Things:
Disney princess palace pets
Barbies
Finger nail polish
Chapstick
Playing outside
Going to preschool
Singing
Tumbling
Dancing

She loves her little brother (who sometimes may get on her nerves!!) She has recently been sleeping in her bed ALL night for consecutive nights! (This is following a prayer walk we did in our house inviting Jesus into every room and praying out anything that may not be of God. This has been one of the biggest blessings of our lives. We have seen God move in a mighty way in our home!!!).

She is in tumbling once a week and they are ready to move her up to the next level but I am enjoying her being in a class with one other child!  She can do cartwheels, round-offs and back bend kick overs. She is learning a lot and really loves it. She talks about going back to gymnastics so that may be in the future.

Corban is changing each day! He is now can pretty much say what he needs :) He often speaks in complete sentences (Mama watch this!, I play mama's bed, Sissy play with me, Pa left me!) There are still some things we can't understand yet but I'm so thankful that he is learning to use words!!

Corban's favorite things....
Tractors
Fire Trucks
Flushing the toliet (he really gets upset if you don't let him flush!)
Being outside!!!
Bath time
Reading books
Watching Disney movies and nursery rhymes

Corban also goes to preschool one day a week. I think he is beginning to enjoy it (when he stays awake!). He will go 3 days next year. I can't believe he will be 2 in about 2 weeks!!

Snow Day 2015

Now that it's the first day of Spring.....I need to catch up on our snow day fun!! We had a good snow back in February. We missed a few days of school but really enjoyed getting out to play!! We also made snow cream which my 2 were not fond of???? So I made it chocolate and ate it myself!!

Peas and Carrots

These two have become quite the little buddies recently. Yes, they do still have their disagreements but it is so fun to watch their sweet little bond grow and grow! Corban's little vocabulary has just exploded and he is putting words together to make short sentences. "Sissy help." "I help too." "No sissy bath!"

These are just some sweet pictures of the two of them together I had on my phone :)

Christmas 2014

We had such a wonderful Christmas this year! I feel like last Christmas was such a blur because Corban was still so small and NOT sleeping! ha! I really enjoyed every moment this year!

Christmas Eve we enjoyed a service at our church and then had some of our family and our neighbors over for dinner. AK, Corban and daddy made cookies for Santa and Mimi worked on getting stuff ready for Christmas breakfast. Anna Kate was so excited she did not fall asleep until after 10:00!!

Christmas morning was so much fun! Anna Kate was so reserve as she came down the stairs and stood quietly and just stared at everything. I know her mind was running a mile a minute! We enjoyed seeing what Santa brought and eating a yummy breakfast. Then, we opened presents Mimi, Papa and Uncle Jay had brought....

We rested and then headed to Nanny's and Grandma's houses for more eating and present opening! We were able to head to Swansboro and Beaufort the weekend after Christmas to see more family and friends :)

New Year's Eve we were able to have our friends over for an oyster roast and gift exchange. I hate I didn't get more pictures!

Aunt Cinni and Aaron (bobcat) came by and brought presents too!
