Spring Break 2012

We had a great spring break this week. Bryant and I were both off and we did a lot of work around the house. We enjoyed spending every minute we could with our sweet girl :) Here is a re-cap of our week.......

We did a lot of yard work. AK kept calling the trailer of dirt her sandbox and went in the garage and found her a bucket and shovel to play with....ha!

We rescued this sweet dog Flo and found her owners (AK didn't want to give her back!)

We grilled out on Friday night.....Mason borrowed some of Anna Kate's PJ's (haha)

We were planning to go Piratefest but this little one did not make it!

Helping daddy wash the truck this afternoon. Her new favorite phrase if she likes something or wants to do something you ask her she says....."uh-huh! Me too!" It is hilarious!

Another new favorite is "hold hands daddy!" Melts my heart!!!

Easter and 20 months old!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend with family. AK and I headed to Beaufort on Friday to spend the day and night with my parents. I headed back to meet up with the Meek's and the Bowen's and Bryant on Saturday night to watch the play, The Victor. It was great! It was about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Bryant and I headed back to Beaufort after the play. We woke up early Sunday morning and headed to church. Anna Kate went in the service with us but mom ended up taking her out about half way through because she was ready to talk to everyone! After church we went back to my parents with Jay, Granny, and Aunt Liz to have lunch!

At 20 months old......

• Talking up a storm! She is saying so many words and putting together sentences. Her vocabulary seems to have exploded within the last 2 months! When we had her 18 month check up one of the questions on the survey was "Is the child putting 2 words together?" I could think of a few that she was doing but I can definitely say yes! she is doing that now and more!!!
• She loves books at bedtime and throughout the day
• She is a big fan of the ipad
• I think she weighs between 23 and 25lbs (she is very petite compared to her friends)
• Barney is still her favorite thing to watch but she is also loving old school Pluto and Mickey Mouse cartoons
• She loves to help us do anything!
• We are really loving on her this week because we are both on VACATION!!!

Playgroup Park Easter Egg Hunt

Anna Kate got to experience her first Easter egg hunt today. She had a great time at the park with her friends!! She really didn't care much about the eggs until she realized that there might be a sweet treat inside them :)
