Back to School 2022

We are officially back at school. AK is in 7th grade, Corban 4th, and I began my 17th year! We've been super busy with school, sports, and fun with friends!

The tradition continues with back to school shopping!

Our boat was finally ready at the end of the summer.....

End of the summer bday parties....

Flag football!

A new season of cheer!

My favorite team of K teachers!

First day of school!

Cedar Island for Labor Day weekend :)

Cottilion 22-23

AK continues to serve most Sunday's with the littles at church :)

Dominican Republic (La Romana) and AK turns 12!

AK and I had a very last minute opportunity to join our church on a mission trip to La Romana. It was the most incredible experience. We stayed in the mission house on the 40 acres that Covenant has helped establish. We went with a team of physical therapists and others from our church. We loved every minute of loving on and learning from the people of the DR.

Wheels up!

People hang out on their roofs...

This man was helping us get under the power lines in the community. The bus was so big it was hitting the lines. At some point another random person jumped on the bus and started driving to help. That is such the culture there, everyone works together to survive.

Opening the gate to the 40 acres....

The cooks at the mission house kept us well fed!

We arrived late Saturday evening and woke up Sunday to attend church....

It was Father's Day so these precious girls were preforming at church...

There is a baseball field on the 40 acres and as soon as the gates open, the children from the community run in and start playing!

I got to hold alllll the babies while the mommas received PT.....I loved every minute!

AK turned 12 while we were away. Her sweet roommates surprised her by decorating her bunk. We were also able to pull of a bday party!

On her bday were got a beach day!

This chick got upgraded to first class on our way home!

And her big bday present when we got back to RDU! Daddy and Corbs surprised us by picking us up at the airport and her bday gift was waiting for her!

Don't worry....Corban lived his best life with Mimi and Papa while we were gone!

We celebrated with our annual bday shopping trip after we got settled back in at home :)
