The White's

These are the 3 most precious children in the world and I absolutely could not wait to tell them about our news!!! Here is a little background info: I met their mother and father when I was a freshman in college and the oldest, Walker (he is standing in the middle) was only 4 months old. I began babysitting for them on what became a daily basis and developed an AWESOME relationship with Georganne and Bob (the mom and dad). I got to go through 2 pregnancies with them (Amelia and Burke) throughout the time that they lived in Greenville. About 3 years ago they moved to Georgia to be closer to family. It was so hard but we have managed to keep our relationship strong!

We got to meet up with them this weekend in Myrtle Beach. I had not told Georganne about our pregnancy because I wanted to see her reaction. I knew she would be so excited! I was right! They are all so excited for us and I can't wait to share this precious baby with them!!!

*PS - About the whole "I feel great" comment in the post below, well, I take that back!! I have been sooooo nauseated this week and been completely exhausted! I'm so glad to have a couple of weeks off from work to just rest.

First Belly Picture

Well, here we are at 7.5 weeks. I can't tell if that's a little bump or if I had too much macaroni and cheese for dinner! HA!

How am I feeling so far?
-GREAT!!! (I am told that I should count my lucky stars for this!)
-A little nausea every now and then but nothing too bad
-Tired (but I have always loved naps!)
-A little increase in my appetite (trying to keep this under control!)

*Prenatal vitamins are NOT for me! That is the only thing that has made me sick so far. I'm sticking with 2 Flintstone vitamins and a DHA supplement.

6 Weeks 5 Days

So, this is what we saw today at the doctor's office. It may not look like a lot but there is a baby in there! He or she is measuring in at a whopping 8 mm at this time. Our estimated due date is August 1st. This will be a busy summer!

And this is what made everything very real to me. The lines at the bottom are the rhythm of the baby's heartbeat. We actually could hear the heartbeat too! I asked the ultrasound tech to "play it again" before we left. It was truly a miracle!!! Thank you Lord for this little blessing!
