March/April Catch-Up

Lots of fun happening! We got to go watch Mrs. Link's son play baseball......

AK and I went to a wedding shower and got to play with sweet Mary Griffin :)

More of Corban's writing......"If I were a penguin, I would slide on my belly. I would swim. I would eat fish." A fun green screen project!

Cuties after church one Sunday recently.....

A fun birthday party with sweet school friends.....

AK ran in the Hornet Hustle 5K fundraiser for school......

We celebrated Easter and our risen Savior!!

Corban is 6!!

I absolutely cannot believe Corban Gray is six years old! What a precious child you are! What are you up to?

  • Lover of all things sports! You have played soccer, basketball and baseball and are looking forward to flag football in the fall
  • You keep up with stats from all of your favorite teams! ECU, NC State, Panthers, Golden State
  • You are rocking kindergarten and have made several new friends!
  • You love to play outside
  • AK is your best friend
  • You want to be an ECU football coach when you grow up!

This says (with inventive spelling) "I want to be a ECU pirate coach because I am a big fan of ECU. I know the quarterback because he went to our school. I will be a football coach."

To celebrate this year Corban insisted on taking 4 of his buddies from school to Chuck-E-Cheese. I did everything I could to talk him out of it but that is what he wanted, so that is what we did!

He was so excited the night before his party that he could hardly fall asleep! Then he was up before 6 am and told me he had already made his bed!

Gerrit, Jackson, Beckham, Canon, Lawsen ready to go play!

Birthday balloons and donuts on his special day!

We did a special snack at school to celebrate. His 8th grade peer helpers got special permission to stay and celebrate with us :)

Aunt Carol was able to join us!!

Corban had a game on his birthday and played great!

We took pizza over to Nanny and Pa's after the game to have a family dinner and celebrate one more time!

Happy birthday sweet boy! We love you to the moon and back!

Xcel Silver Meet Season

Anna Kate had a great meet season this year!! We traveled to Asheville, Mebane, Charleston, VA Beach, Greensboro and Charlotte.

The Gala meet was our first one. We traveled to Asheville the first weekend in January. AK finished first all around. We are so proud of her!

Next up was Mebane.....Think Pink Invitational.....another first place finish for AK!

Exaclibur Cup was next in VA Beach.......AK finished 3rd all around!

The team finished first at Excalibur cup! This is the first time they have done that!

Up next was Charleston.....this was the night before competition....

Unfortunately AK woke up with the flu the next morning and didn't get to compete :(

Then we traveled to Greensboro for GGI! She finished 3rd all around at this meet....

A dream come true for Corban! ACC hall of fame while sissy was competing!!!

Up next was the state meet in Charlotte! Anna Kate was able to compete with Kenly!

She finished first all around in the state for her age and level. She rocked it! She also finished 9th overall for all age groups with over 300 girls competing!

Her all around score was high enough for her to qualify for regionals in Hickory. We will be traveling there the first week of May!!!
