Back to School! Fifth and Second

We are back at school! Praise the Lord! After being away from the building for 5 months and definitely out of our normal routine, we are so excited to be back! Our county is running on a hybrid schedule where some kids are face to face and some are virtual. It's all so crazy but I'm thankful that my two get to be face to face with their teachers each day. I have also begun year 15!!

Mimi and papa set up their annual back to school store and let the kids shop for their supplies. Aunt Carol was there to help too :)

Fifth grade with Mrs. Dawson, Mrs. Rogister and Mrs. Pennington

Second grade with Mrs. Turner

We are getting around to decorating for fall now the temps have cooled off a bit!

AK used her new turntable for the first time last night and created her version of a S'mores cake. It was delicious!

Anna Kate is 10!!!

I cannot believe our sweet girl is 10! Two full hands! We could not ask for a sweeter, smarter, precious daughter. We are so thankful to be her parents. AK you love big! You have so many friends, have let go of gymnastics, taken on tennis and tumbling, love having extra time to bake and you are really good at it! You take great care of your brother and are always looking out for him. At your well child visit, Dr. Bradshaw said you were growing perfectly. We are proud of you and love you so much!!

This year AK had a family party and insisted on baking her own birthday cake. She came up with the idea of a tie dye cake with a llama topper. She made everything from scratch and the end product was really neat!

The night before her birthday, Jackson and Abby spent the night.....they woke up to presents and yummy doughnuts!

Corban wanted to see how long he was compared to the present he picked out for AK....

A new tennis racket!

After we dropped Corban at baseball camp, we hit Starbucks and met Aunt Cinni for pedis.....

We met Mimi, Papa and Aunt Carol for lunch at our favorite Mexican spot....

The process of AK making her own bday cake!

Celebrating with Nanny, Pa, Grandma, Grandaddy, Aunt Melisa and our cousins....

The next morning we woke up and headed to Apex to visit with the Roberson's.....

and then on to Pittsboro to stay with the White's and shop till we dropped!

Corban decided that he needed to make a cake too! He wanted a football cake and sissy quickly obliged!

He is the one that covered it in sprinkles! Haha!

Summer 2020

Summer 2020 looked a lot different than normal but we made the most of it!! We had lots of beach days, celebrated birthdays, baked a lot, had some fun playdates, and we finally got our new boat!!

Early into the summer we went to the bird park with Cinni, Carson, Sarah and Kade. We had a really good time and got up close and personal with some birds.....

We had been reading the book "The Trumpet of the Swan" as our bedtime book so it was really neat for the kids to get to see real swans.

When birds unexpectedly land on your head......haha!

The mama's snuck away for dinner! This is when the mask mandate first came about!

We celebrated Father's Day....

We had a fun beach day with Kennedy!

I had to run out to school for something and we borrowed some more Mercy Watson books from Corban's first grade teacher. These are his absolute favorites and he for some reason is wearing a Santa hat! Who knows?!?! At this point, we were all a little quarantine crazy!

Corban wrapped up another fun baseball season. I'm thankful for the little bit of normalcy that brought!

Most of the White family were able to come down and celebrate Walker's graduation!!

Corban plays SO hard with the boys....he and Beau crashed!!

We were able to head to Surf City to have a sleepover with Canon and Stella!

I remember a game like this from the movie "Big." This guy was a fortune teller. I think the kids would have used all of their money with him if we would have let them. Ha!

Another fun beach playdate with friends....

AK prepped and hosted another bake sale. This time she was able to raise over $700 for Third Street Academy. We are so thankful for such generous friends and family! She worked so hard!

Pretty summer flowers from Ms. Sandra....

Sweet Ava's 7th birthday....

Anna Kate got to go back to Roanoke Christian Camp for her second year....

Some sweet pics I got throughout the week....

Her favorite counselor Kathryn...

We celebrated 84 years of Nanny!

We celebrated 66 years of Mimi!
And 38 years of BB!

Our most favorite thing about summer was finally getting our boat! We have enjoyed it so much. We have been able to play at the river, sound and at Cape Lookout!

AK stayed back with Mimi and Papa while we did the sea trial.....Corbs didn't want to miss anything! He was so excited!

Larry was a great salesman!

Our first adventure as a family! Headed to Cape Lookout!

More silly Beau pics.....

Two handsome fellas after church one Sunday!
