Beautiful Day!

Today was such a beautiful day! My parents came to Greenville to visit and we ran some errands. We took some pics of AK inside and then took her outside for a few.

After my parents left Melisa called and said Jackson and Abby were playing outside and we should come over. We went to play and AK LOVED the swing.......she just squealed! She loves to be outside!

Belly Laughs

Anna Kate has not been a big "laugher." She smiles all day but rarely lets out a good laugh. She has her dad's sense of humor! However, she passed gas today while I was changing her and it smelled terrible! I started waving my hands around and saying SHEEEEEEEEW because it smelled so bad! She thought it was hilarious and gave me some good laughs:)

A Day with Daddy!

Today AK spent the entire day with her daddy. I had to work and then we had parent conferences after school. It was a very long day! However, I had a few good laughs when I got home. First, this is how she was dressed!

And yes, they went out in public.......dressed like this.....oh my! I know people were thinking "bless her heart!"

Anna Kate's newest trick....she knows how to get what she wants! We call this the army crawl! Once she is strong enough to hold herself up she is going to be GONE and into EVERYTHING!

Teething???

I believe this is the start of teething. Anna Kate does not seem to be in any pain.....yet. I know it's coming! I haven't felt much of anything yet in her mouth. I can feel something on the bottom but nothing has broken through yet. This is how she fell asleep the other day while I was cleaning. She tries to chew on EVERYTHING. I was vacuuming and put her in the swing for a few minutes. When I came back to check on her, this is what I found. Ha!

Yes, she is sound asleep!

Look who can sit up :)

Another part of the teething.......tons of drooling!

5 Months Old

Anna Kate is 5 months old today! She is so busy! She is such a happy baby. All throughout the day she is smiling and "talking." She is still not great at naps. She usually takes 2-3 45 min naps a day. Sometimes she will sleep an hour but not often. She has been sick with a bad cold for the past 2 weeks so that has affected her sleeping at night. However, that is getting better too. It has been such an adjustment for me since I have been back at work. She does great with grandma and nanny. I am just so tired!! She is into everything now! She loves anything that makes noise and lights up. She is very interested in food! She loves the jumperoo and exersaucer. She is sitting up on her own now! She is in size 2 diapers and last week at the doctor she weighed right at 15 lbs. She is mobile in her own way now. She is not crawling yet but can roll and scoot to get to anything she wants to grab. I see crawling in the near future! Oh My!!This will be the last monthly chair pictures with Sophie. We are lucky we got this one. She is so busy and grabs anything she can get her hands on (especially Sophie's fur). She loves to watch Sophie and try to grab her. However, Sophie is NOT her biggest fan!
Getting sooooooo big!!

Mountain Trip

Two days after Christmas we headed to Sapphire Valley, NC to go skiing. We were supposed to leave the day after Christmas but the snow held us up a day. We met up with Georganne and her crew. We had a blast! There was plenty of snow. The days were pretty warm b/c the wind wasn't blowing, but the nights were freezing! AK did great on her first trip except for a cold that she had that made her not want to sleep! Here are a few pictures from our trip.
Thanks to our family friends The Oglesby's, we stayed in an awesome resort. You literally walked out the door and onto the slopes. AK came to visit while we were out skiing.

Most of the days she hung out with Mimi and Mrs. Sharon while we were skiing. We did get a chance to go up to Cashiers and Highlands to do a little shopping. Mom and Mrs. Sharon were very successful!
Getting ready to go down the mountain

Georganne and Bob got their kids new snowboard stuff for Christmas. This was the 1st time the kids had ever been snowboarding and they did great! Here is Walker coming down the mountain.

Burke and Amelia on their way down.

"Coach" Bob carrying Burke and Amelia back up the practice slope.

Walker

For those of you that don't know, I started babysitting for Walker when he was AK's age (4months) he is now 9! I was the nanny for all 3 all throughout my college years and then they moved to GA. I'm so glad we are still able to see each other throughout the year! It was so fun to see the kids playing with Anna Kate.
