New York, New York!

I was able to go on a short New York trip over Memorial Day weekend with some friends from school (and my sweet friend Caroline). We went with the 8th grade AIG kids but did not have to chaperone. Even though it was a short trip we had a lot of fun! We also did A LOT of walking!!

AK and Corby having fun playing while mommy was trying to pack!!

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza which is right off of Times Square.

First stop was the Today Show!

It was fleet week in NYC so there were several men and women from our armed forces visiting! They were getting ready to do a tug-of-war

We tried to at least see all of the sights New York has to offer! Of course I needed to find something to take home to Anna Kate and Corban.

Corban was easy :)

This was the biggest Toys R Us I have ever seen. It had a ferris wheel inside! I went in to look for shopkins (AK's newest favorite thing). They were completely sold out! NYC was sold out of shopkins!

A Belle barbie from the Disney store had to do ;)

Walking the Brooklyn Bridge

Caught a little street show!

We had lunch the first day at an awesome little pizza place. We looked out the window during lunch and there was a man walking around with a cat sitting on top of his head!!

We hit up the half-price ticket booth for Broadway shows and decided to see "It Shoulda Been You." It was a really good show that was sitcom style.

When we got back to our hotel that night I checked my fitbit. I don't think I have ever walked that far in one day!!

We got a good night's rest and then headed out the next morning. Our mission was to get to the 9/11 memorial.

Someone told us this was the first responding station. It was very close to where the towers were

There were several names that had flowers stuck in them.

We also wanted to see Central Park and find some real authentic NY cheesecake!!

It was a very quick trip but I would definitely do it again!
