Anna Kate and I took our yearly bday shopping trip and stayed with Georganne for the night. We love this tradition!
Back in March, Jennifer and I came up with the idea to plan a surprise birthday trip for our almost teenagers! Kenly and AK both turned 13 in August. We chose a weekend in between their birthdays and had so much fun! We saw Aladdin on Broadway, walked the Brooklyn Bridge, saw the Statue of Liberty from the bridge, spent a lot of time shopping in Times Square, a bike ride through Central Park, LOTS of yummy food, Kelsea Ballerini on the today show and more!
We took the girls to dinner a few nights before we left. Jennifer had typed a cute letter giving the clues about where we were going and all of the things we would be doing. We wrapped the letter and a birthday sash and tiara up for each girl and had them open them at the same time. Kenly totally understood what was happening.....AK took a minute, haha!
